5 movies in 2 hours – here are our favourites:-
Movies: These days are too long. Whether it’s a new blockbuster in theatres that takes up two and a half hours or more of your time or a stream of new prestigious work by an acclaimed author that culminates in four hours, every modern director agrees that longer is better. How and why did this trend emerge? Why would the director want to test our patience – and the bladder – so intensely? What is the particular joy of a suspense film coming in, saying what to say, and coming out again? Who has all day to watch those feature films? If like me, you like to spend your free time with good movies but don’t have much time to spare, we have provided you with a list of some of the best movies you can show right now – they’re in 2 hours or less.
Get Out – 104 minutes:-
Chris Washington, a talented young African-American photographer, prepares to meet the parents of his white girlfriend, Rose Armitage, at their home on Lake Pontaco over the weekend. Chris and Rose have been together for five months, and the Armitage family is unaware that their daughter’s lover is black. But when Chris finally meets Rose’s mother, a psychiatrist, a hypnosis specialist, and her father, a neurosurgeon, he will soon discover that the family is surrounded by black servants in solitude in their secluded luxury home in the woods. As the friendly and polite atmosphere gradually turns into an indistinguishable, somewhat unrecognizable threat, the tense atmosphere combined with fear will quickly disrupt the calm facade of the family. What could Armitage be hiding? And why is there a closed and locked room that leads to the basement?
Casablanca – 102 minutes:-
Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), who owns a nightclub in Casablanca, discovers that his old fire Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), is in town with her husband, Victor Laszlo (Paul Henride).
